danrashke Daniel N. Rashke, Chief Executive Officer

Dan has been in the employee benefit field with TASC since 1983. As owner and chief executive Dan continues to be very active in the sales and operations of TASC.

He designed FlexSystem, a comprehensive system for the administration of Section 125 Cafeteria Plans and was also directly involved in the development of AgriPlan and BizPlan.  AgriPlan, BizPlan and FlexSystem represents more than 70 percent of TASC's revenue.

Trained in tax, insurance and investment, Dan has authored several articles, provided continuing professional education for the financial and tax community, and has lectured at the University of Wisconsin School of Business on entrepreneurialism.  He and TASC have been featured in local, regional and national business publications.  Recently, Dan has been honored through the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award Program, the Wisconsin Better Business Bureau Torch Award Program for ethics and integrity, and as a community leader with the United Way of Dane County.

Community Commitment/Special Interests:

Dan is very active with the United Way of Dane County as a member of the Board of Directors and the Vision Council, and as Chair of the Self Reliance and Independence Community Solution Team.  In addition, Dan is a member of the Dane County Coalition to Reduce Alcohol Abuse, the American Family Children's Hospital Board of Advisors and the Meriter Foundation Board of Directors.

Maurice D. Ash, CPA, Executive Vice President of Finance

Years of TASC service: Maurie has been with TASC since August, 1997. 

Professional Profile:
Maurie has an extensive professional background, in operations, customer service, and marketing areas, as well as administering employee benefit plans. In addition, he has five years of public accounting experience.

As part of this experience he has served in roles as President, Vice President, and Chief Financial Officer. While at TASC, Maurie has served as Director of Customer Service, as Director of Operations and IT, and as Chief Financial Officer. He played a key role in transforming our AgriPlan-BizPlan transmittal process, as well as in implementing communication and processing technology utilizing web and state-of-the-art technology to deliver information.
 
A Certified Public Accountant, Maurie attended the United States Naval Academy, and graduated with a BBA in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
 
Community Commitment/Special Interests:
Maurie is a member of the AICPA, Wisconsin Institute of CPAs, United Way of Dane County Key Club, and performs volunteer work.

Andy Bartel, Vice President of Sales - Group Division

Years of TASC service:  Andy has been with TASC since 1994.

Professional Profile:
Andy is responsible for marketing TASC's group services, including COBRAToday, DirectPay, ERISAEdge, FlexSystem and FMLAMatters.  An expert on Flexible Spending Accounts, Health Savings Accounts and Health Reimbursement Arrangements, Andy has conducted numerous continuing education sessions, broker sales training seminars, client enrollment meetings, and has personally recruited hundreds of active TASC producers.  Under Andy's leadership, the group sales division has grown to include 25 employed sales representatives and five dealer Regional Sales Directors covering all 50 states.  Through his direction, Andy has helped bring TASC more than six million dollars group sales revenue last year alone.

Prior to being named Vice President, Andy was a Regional Sales Director and Sales Manager for TASC.  Andy has a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

A father of two, Andy is also a United Way Key Club Member.

Steve Cable, CPA, Chief Financial Officer

Years of TASC service: Steve joined TASC in 2009.

Professional Profile:
A Certified Public Accountant, Steve is a senior financial executive with over twenty years of public accounting and manufacturing experience.  Over the years, he has built a record of accomplishments in cross-functional team building, cost savings, acquisitions and business results.  Steve's career boasts a strong history of business growth, both in top lines sales and bottom line profits.  He worked his way up to Chief Financial Officer of Fiskars Consumer Products during his 14 year career there.  During his tenure with Fiskars, the company experienced significant growth via a combination of organic growth and acquisitions.  Since 2001, Steve has served as Chief Financial Officer of Springs Window Fashions, a manufacturer of window covering products.

Steve holds a BBA in Accounting from the University of Iowa.

Community Commitment/Special Interests
Steve is a Finance Elder at First Presbyterian Church (FBC) in Waunakee, Wisconsin.  He is also a past co-chair and committee member for building campaigns and is a Stewardship Committee Member at FPC.  In addition, Steve is a Committee Member of Habitat for Humanities' Double the Homes, Double the Hope Campaign.

Years of TASC service: Steve joined TASC in 2007.

Professional Profile:
Steve brings over 20 years of Information Technology experience to TASC, most recently as Vice President of IT at Lands' End.  While at Lands' End, Steve had total oversight of their global IT operations with a team of over 250 IT professionals.  Over the course of his career, Steve has demonstrated an innate ability to develop technology strategies to support efficient business operations and excellent customer service.

With TASC, Steve will oversee both the operations and sales efforts of the corporate ensuring complete synergy between the sale process and delivery of TASC's products and services.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science and Statistics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Community Commitment/Special Interests:
Steve is a member of the Optimist Club of Mount Horeb, is a mentor for MBA students at the University of Wisconsin, and volunteers with many youth programs in his community.

Jack Hippen, Vice President of Sales - Microbusiness Division
Years of TASC Service: Jack has been with TASC since 2008.

Professional Profile:
As the Vice President of Sales - Microbusiness Division, Jack is responsible for marketing TASC's Microbusiness services, including AgriPlan, BizPlan, LegacyGuard, RetirEez and a Wage and Tax Reporting feature.  Jack has built and implemented sale and marketing strategies to achieve company objectives, and has comprehensive experience in the area of sales managment, coaching, training and development of sales teams.  Jack works with insurance professionals, financial advisors, accountants, tax professionals and TASC's sales representatives in the development and administration of employee benefit programs.

Prior to joining TASC, Jack was the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Boumatic in Madison, Wisconsin.  While with Boumatic, Jack was responsible for all marketing, product management, market research, literature, and trade show functions.  Jack has a Master Degree in Business Administration from Edgewood College and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture Economics from the University of Wisconsin.

Community Commitment/Special Interests:
Jack coaches youth soccer and works with the Middleton High School's basketball programs.  Prior to joining TASC, Jack served as an officer of many agricultural-based organizations including the Dane County Agri-business Delegation and the Farm/City Week Committee.

Years of TASC service: Tim has been with TASC since November 2000.
 
Professional Profile:
Tim brings TASC a wealth of previous employee development and training, as well as operations management. In the past, Tim served as a Director of Human Resources, and participated in an ISO9001 Quality Assurance program implementation.
 
While as TASC, Tim has restructured our Customer Service Department into functional groups, and has increased departmental resources. These and other enhancements have produced a top-notch Customer Service Team. Tim has also led the way in the consolidation of services, and in enhanced applications and the improvement of our electronic communications. In addition, Tim has introduced valuable project management tools and methods at TASC.
 
Tim has a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Cardinal Stritch University, and has 20 years of experience in effectively interacting with and leading people.
 
Community Commitment/Special Interests:
Tim is a member of the Technical Club of Madison, and is a Key Club Member of the United Way of Dane County. Tim has taught high school mathematics and coached men's basketball.

Years of TASC service: Ken joined TASC in 2003.

Professional Profile:

Ken leads the effort to acquire smaller third party administrators who compliment TASC's existing business.  In addition, he also strives to form strong alliances with corporate business partners.  The investment in additional resources/staff to support this initiative will allow TASC to grow our markets at an accelerated rate, while also continuing to deliver products and services that meet customer expectations.

Ken has an extensive and varied sales and sales management background related to delivering healthcare products to the operating room, laboratory, and occupational/physical therapy units.

Since joining TASC, Ken has increased our sales coverage, visibility, and market impact through expansion of the Group Sales Division, development of the Microbusiness Division, expansion of the Inside Sales Division, and pursuit of Acquisition opportunities.

Ken holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology, with a minor in Psychology from the University of West Georgia.

Ken is a member of the United Way of Dane County, and is active in his church and in various community fundraising projects.

Years of TASC service: Pam joined TASC in 2000.
 
Professional Profile:
Before joining the company full-time, Pam was contracted by TASC to oversee various special projects.  Pam brings several years of experience in business and financial management to TASC, with a focus on budget analysis, strategic planning, performance measurement and process management.
 
Since joining TASC, Pam has worked on new product development, market analysis and direct marketing campaigns. She has been instrumental in the development of TASC’s Strategic Plan, and in the development of many new products and services, including DirectPay (HRA), COBRAToday, the FlexSystem Claim Card, LegacyGuard and the FlexSystem Health Savings Account feature.
Pam holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management from California State University-Long Beach.

Pam is a member of the United Way of Dane County, and participates in the local Youth Hockey league.

Cynthia L. Schmidt, CCIS, Director of Customer Relations


Years of TASC service: Cynthia has been with TASC since April 2002.


Professional Profile:
Cynthia brings TASC diverse experience in training, work improvement, human resources, sales, product development, and finance.  As Director of Product Sales, Cynthia had control of product offerings, incentive programs, pricing, and vendor relationships.  Cynthia has consistently shown the ability to make quick, accurate decisions and resolve problems.


Since joining TASC, she has supervised Night Processing, Client Services and Sales Support.  Cynthia has developed two functional areas: Premium Services and Customer Satisfaction.  She has also played a key role in the formation of TASC's Collection Functions, and assisted with the enhancement of TASC's Microbusiness Services and Continuous Improvement Processes.


Cynthia attended the University of Wisconsin-Rock County, majoring in Communications and is a Certified Continuous Improvement Specialist.

Cynthia is a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, AQS, is an American Red Cross Trainer, and a Rosenberry Society Member of the United Way of Dane County.
