TASC Releases TASC Card

TASC has released the next generation of benefits administration: the new TASC Card!

Madison, Wis. -- TASC (Total Administrative Services Corporation), a provider of tax-advantaged medical and other benefit account management services, has released the new TASC Card.  The newly branded TASC Card replaces the FlexSystem Claim Card as well as the AgriPlan, BizPlan, and DirectPay Benefits Cards. As with its predecessors, the TASC Card will continue to provide users with easy access to their benefit funds--whether in their Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or in their Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA)--to pay for eligible healthcare and dependent care expenses.

The TASC Card's scope will expand in the future.  Eventually it will provide Cardholders with a single Card to manage multiple employee benefit accounts along with a cash account.  Besides applying substantiation rules and prioritizing fund use by account, the TASC Card will process point-of-sale debit card transactions and ATM cash disbursements.  The Cash Purse functionality will be added to the TASC Card starting in March 2010.  Part one of the release is underway, and affects only current Cardholders with Cards expiring and new Cardholders.  These Card will feature healthcare account (FSA or HRA) functionality only.  A mass Card re-issue to all remaining Cardholders will start in July 2010.
