Description:
TASC is seeking a self-motivated, team-oriented System Administrator to join our IT team at our headquarters in Madison, Wisconsin. The position is responsible for the design, implementation and administration of Windows and Linux infrastructure. Responsibilities of this role include administration and support of Windows server systems, RedHat Enterprise Linux, Exchange, Citrix, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, network applications and application suites. This position will assist the Development team in the support of business applications, additionally supporting and mentoring fellow team members through knowledge transfer. Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, multitasking, and customer service skills are required. A minimum of 5 years of network administration and/or networking experience is desired.
Requirements:
Strong experience in Windows 2000/2003 server environment, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
In-depth and strong practical knowledge of supporting RedHat Enterprise Linux systems in a production environment
Microsoft Exchange 2003
Data backup, testing, and recovery procedures
Demonstrated ability to learn new skills quickly
Able to demonstrate strong leadership and team building skills
Supporting RedHat Linux and Windows servers in a storage area network environment and a virtualized environment
Understanding of networking concepts, tools, and techniques related to RedHat Linux web services, clustering and load balancing
VMware ESX 3
Bash / Perl / Visual Basic Scripting
Cisco networking technology (Routers / Switches / Firewalls / IOS / ACL)
Strong familiarity with networking technologies: TCP/IP, DHCP, LDAP, DNS, SMTP, OWA, etc.
