Web Technologies Developer II – Business Technology Services (BTS)
Reporting to: Director or Manager of BTS

The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, testing, and deployment of web sites, web based applications, and SaaS (software as a service) based applications. This is a full-time, exempt position and works Monday through Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM at our headquarters building in Madison, Wisconsin.
Core Competencies
• An Associates or Bachelor's (preferred) degree in Information Systems, Computer
Science, Engineering, or related discipline, and at least 2 years development experience. •&
#160;Experience in building web sites including graphic elements, overall organization and
navigational structure, layout, development, usability of web pages and forms for ease-of-use, and
search engine optimization.
• Experience in or strong interest in developing with SaaS based applications including
SalesForce.com, FileBound, Amazon E2C, web mashups, etc.
• Understanding of online design issues as they pertain to browser usability, load
times, SEO, Google AdWords, and cross-platform compatibility
• Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Acrobat, Dreamweaver, Flash,
CSS and JavaScript, XML, etc.
• Expert knowledge of HTML and CSS; experience with dynamic HTML generation using JSP,
ASP, or similar technologies; PHP, SQL, Java Script, and other web development languages or
standards.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with strong attention to
detail, schedules, and budgets
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex
technical concepts in business terms, document requirements, develop specifications, and drive
development methodology maturity.
• Solid teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to work well on cross-functional
project teams and foster team commitment to tasks
• Experience in the employee benefits, insurance, or financial industry is preferred
