The purpose of the Business Support Specialist (BSS) position is, but is not limited to, serving internal customers to resolve external customer needs. This position will play a key role in supporting TASC’s growth by working with systems and databases that provide analytics to the entire company. This position will be exposed to the technical and business sides of TASC.
This position will provide business requirements, and use-case scenarios in the environment of TASC’s applications development to ensure quality business processes and a quality end-user experience. The Specialist records, and documents business cases and details and models that show process flows, discuss findings with the project team, and works with development and testing staff in designing and doing user acceptance testing, that are under the jurisdiction of this position.
A Business Support Specialist reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. This position requires strong knowledge of TASC’s overall business processes and internal systems. The BSS assists with requirements and testing to ensure that business needs are met. This role will also assist with the coordination of deadlines and responsibilities with project managers and also monitor and summarize requirements with Development and Quality Assurance for user-acceptance testing. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected in this position.
The BSS is responsible to for analysis and to develop requirements documentation for projects, process changes or implementations, production fixes and enhancements.This is a full-time, non-exempt position working core hours of 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. The position reports to our Manager of Requirements Management and Analysis.
