Senior Security Engineer - AWS-focused (368)

POSITION PURPOSE:

The purpose of this position is, but is not limited to, providing subject matter expertise on information systems security, purpose, plan and implementation and maintenance of security defenses that provide the best protection and value for the organization.

This is a full-time, exempt position working core hours of Monday through Friday between 8:00am and 5:00pm. The position will be located at our corporate office in Madison, Wisconsin and will report to the Manager of Information Security.

POSITIONAL COMPETENCIES:

    • Web filtering technology
    • Network intrusion defense systems
    • End point monitoring
    • Data leak protection
    • Intrusion prevention systems
    • Penetration testing
    • Firewalls
    • Vulnerability scanning tools
    • Security information and event management
    • Network tabs, traffic aggregators and filters
    • Forensic investigations and relevant tools
    • Identity management tools, AD, LDAP, web front end and virtualization
    • Application code vulnerability scanning (dynamic & static) and application security
    • Cloud architecture, configuration and deployment
  • Ability to draft security policies, standards, procedures and other forms of documentation
  • Ability to draft user security training and awareness policies and training documents

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree OR equivalent post high school education and/or work related experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other Information Technology related field
  • Two or more years in Information Systems plus five or more years working in Information Security OR a combination of relevant experience
  • Prior hands-on security experience with AWS is required
  • CISSP certification is required. Additional certifications are a plus
