One of the more unique employee benefit offerings at TASC is our paid employee volunteer time. We provide employees with paid volunteer hours each year to allow them to get out and serve the community. Whether it's at a TASC sponsored event or a new volunteer opportunity, we want to support the causes that are important to our employees and allow them to give their time.
It’s been truly amazing to see how TASC employees utilize their paid volunteer hours. We’ve seen entire TASC departments work the evening rush at a local food pantry, employees have traveled to participate in national disaster relief efforts, some have even enlisted the talents of their co-workers to start their own charitable organizations.
The TASC Dollars for Doers program encourages employees to continue their volunteer efforts outside of their paid volunteer time. For every hour of volunteering outside of work hours, TASC will donate to the employee’s nonprofit of choice.
|TASC employees volunteered at the Charlotte Rescue Mission in North Carolina. The Charlotte Rescue Mission has a 90-day residential program empowering individuals to move beyond cycles of homelessness and addiction to become productive citizens in the community. The team collected and donated women’s and children’s clothing as well as toiletries to the women’s shelter, the Dove’s Nest.|
|TASC Cares volunteers were at Second Harvest in Heartland, Minnesota. Volunteers helped package cereal boxes and other items for those in the community who are in need of food. Second Harvest Heartland is the Upper Midwest's largest food relief organization.|

TASC employees are invited to submit videos for our annual "The Reason I Give Back" contest. Employees are encouraged to share their favorite organization and volunteer work through video. The winner's charity receives a $1,000 donation on behalf of TASC.
This year's winner was Darren Howell and Musicians On Call. His winning video is below.
Musicians On Call brings live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities. By delivering live, in-room performances to patients undergoing treatment or unable to leave their beds, we add a dose of joy to life in a healthcare facility. Since 1999, Musicians On Call volunteer musicians have performed for half a million patients and their families.
