A solid foundation paves the way for success

From the very beginning, TASC founder Don Rashke aimed to help our nation's farmers and small businesses. He knew they were missing out on tax-savings solutions and employee benefits options that were commonplace at large companies. In 1975, he put his calling into action and established Insurance Carrier to sell insurance and estate planning to farmers and family-owned companies.

As a former farmer and then small business owner himself, Don clearly understood the needs of his Clients. He had walked their walk. In 1983, he and his son Dan teamed up and the resulting Rashke partnership focused wholeheartedly on customer service and the entrepreneurial spirit. Always searching for new and better ways to serve their Clients, the Rashkes pioneered the FlexSystem Section 125 Cafeteria Plan, followed by the AgriPlan and BizPlan Section 105 Plan services. Clients enthusiastically welcomed the programs and savings provided by the Rashkes, and business flourished.

The small Stevens Point, Wisconsin, business relocated to Madison, Wisconsin. No longer called Insurance Carrier, the newly named Insurance Center Administrators scaled back the company's insurance products and focused instead on third-party administration services.

The Rashkes continued to add premier industry products through the years, and sales multiplied across the country. Meanwhile, the business grew exponentially with multiple acquisitions of compatible third-party administrator organizations. In 1995, the company acquired the name of a subsidiary, Total Administrative Services Corporation (TASC).

TASC is a leader in the industry as the nation's largest privately-held TPA. TASC now offers more than 21 innovative products and services. Customers in all 50 states are served by the TASC team, which boasts 8,000 field representatives and over 900 associates at the Madison campus and remote locations. TASC works hard for tens of thousands of businesses, and last year the company's annual revenue exceeded $100 million.
