November 30, 2018 (Madison, Wisconsin) – TASC won multiple awards in the Best in Biz Awards, the only independent business awards program judged each year by prominent editors and reporters from top-tier publications in North America. TASC won the following awards:
TASC President Cliff Mason won the Silver Award in the Executive of the Year - Medium Companies. Cliff initiated a period of rapid growth and innovation at TASC that has dramatically enhanced the company’s ability to serve customers and a growing number of prospects. Cliff oversaw one of the busiest acquisition years in company history. He also launched numerous initiatives simultaneously––including seven new products, a sustainability program for employees and a new online platform.
Pam Reynolds, Chief Development Officer won the Silver Award in the Business Development Executive of the Year category. Pam was recognized for her role in the development of a new online charity enrollment and employee donation system for the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC), for TASC’s state-of-the-art Compliance Central Dashboard system, an interactive software tool that provides clients with a quick analysis of their current state of compliance with federal benefit regulations, and her efforts developing the innovative TASC Card.

October 9, 2018 (Madison, Wisconsin) – TASC’s owners Dan and Patti Rashke and TASC’s Supervisor of Talent Management Director, Adrienne Smolinski, SPHR, were recently featured in a video highlighting TASC’s association with the YWeb Academy. The YWeb Academy is an employment service program that trains women and people of color to become web developers/designers. The program includes 400 hours of intensive technical training. Students are expected to complete job-related projects and work outside of class time and to be actively engaged in the learning process. Previously, TASC had been involved with a similar program through the United Way of Dane County.
The video highlights TASC’s participation in the YWeb Academy program, including an interview with a young woman who went through the program and is now employed at TASC. TASC and Adrienne help the academy by serving on their Board of Directors, hiring employees out of the academy, sponsoring events, and helping with resumes. Together with the YWCA, TASC is working to create real change for women, families and communities.

September 20, 2018 (Birmingham, Alabama) – TASC (Total Administrative Services Corporation) is sponsoring a Dream Racer during an event on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at the Children’s of Alabama. Children’s of Alabama is a client of TASC.
A Dream Racer is a child-size version of a real NASCAR car. These cars are built by retired NASCAR car builder and founder of the Children’s Dream Racer (CDR) Mark “Smitty” Smith. The mission of the CDR is to place Dream Racers in children’s hospitals and cancer care centers worldwide to help children get through any difficult treatment that they must endure. TASC worked with the Alabama Association of Health Underwriters (AAHU) to sponsor a Dream Racer car for patients to use in Children’s of Alabama.
“Donating to the Children’s Dream Racer organization fits perfectly with TASC’s philanthropic goals of supporting charities that do good in the communities where we work and live,” says TASC CEO and owner Dan Rashke. “Children’s hospitals do great work in many regions of the United States and we are proud to be part of that effort.”

September 12, 2018 (Madison, Wisconsin) – TASC’s Director of Executive Office, Jennifer Zisser, was recently selected as a Northside (Madison, WI) Changemaker for her volunteering efforts with the River Food Pantry. The River Food Pantry River Food Pantry has become a Northside institution by “bringing a message of mercy and hope to those in need by providing nutritional basics and encouragement” for a dozen years.
When being recognized during the award ceremony, Jennifer was called a giant in the behind-the-scenes work. Serving as Board Chair, Jennifer has facilitated a year-long process of updating The River’s Strategic Planning. She worked with the board, staff and all stakeholders to revitalize the mission, vision, values and guiding principles of The River. Using her skills and insight to lead the board through this process, Jennifer is clearly achieving her mission of giving back to the community.
Washington, DC – August 3, 2018 - Congressman Erik Paulsen (MN-03) has introduced bipartisan legislation that incentivizes philanthropy by creating “Flexible Giving Accounts”, which enable taxpayers to set aside portions of their pre-tax paycheck to give to charities. Similar to Health Savings Accounts, FGAs will allow taxpayers to support qualified charities of their choice tax-free. Employers will be able to offer employees the opportunity to divert a portion of their pre-tax earnings into the FGA as part of their fringe benefits package. Taxpayers may then distribute those dollars to charitable organizations.
Paulsen introduced the legislation with Reps. Ami Bera (D-CA), Mike Gallagher (R-WI), Cheri Bustos (D-IL), Mark Pocan (D-WI) and Tim Walberg (R-MI).
Currently, most American taxpayers take the standard deduction rather than itemize. The result is that most Americans see no real tax benefit from their charitable giving. The new accounts would allow the millions of taxpayers who do not itemize to receive a tax deduction.
“Americans are the most generous charitable givers on the planet, and philanthropy is the lifeblood of countless non-profit groups that do vital work in Minnesota. But the majority of taxpayers who don’t itemize their deductions see no tax benefit from their giving,” said Congressman Paulsen. “Flexible Giving Accounts will be game-changers. They’ll spur more giving by making it easier for American families to make regular contributions to charities of their choice and will mean less paperwork for taxpayers.”
“Every day in this country, charities are changing lives and improving communities,” said Congressman Gallagher, a co-sponsor of the bill. “By empowering more Americans to set aside their hard-earned money each month, tax free, for charitable giving, this bipartisan bill would incentivize a culture of everyday philanthropy that in turn would deepen and diversify the country’s giving pool.” He continued, “Flexible Giving Accounts are an opportunity for Americans to invest in their own neighbors and communities, and one we should take full advantage of for the good of the country.”
Paulsen’s bill was introduced with the support of five other members of both parties. Paulsen is a member of the House Ways and Means Committee, the chamber’s tax-writing panel. The text of the legislation, H.R. 6616, can be viewed here.

Scott is replacing retiring TASC CFO Steve Cable.
Scott has more than 20 years of experience in public accounting, mortgage banking, private equity, and banking and lending. He is proficient in managing money and liquidity in high-growth companies, and most recently served as COO and Head of Business Development for Winthrop Resources, a technology leasing company owned by TCF Bank, a Minneapolis based financial institution. Previously at TCF Bank, Scott served as CFO for several of TCF’s lending businesses, including consumer lending portfolio of auto and mortgage loans and leasing and equipment finance businesses.
Scott is a graduate of University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with an MBA from Duke University. Scott, his wife, and two children are looking forward to relocating to Madison.

For the second year in a row, TASC ranked in the top 75 in Deloitte’s ranking of the largest, closely-held companies in Wisconsin. The ranking is based on revenue. In 2017, TASC was in 72nd place on the list.
In addition, TASC was the named the largest employee benefits firm in Wisconsin by the Milwaukee Business Journal. TASC has been on this list since 2014, coming in at the top spot the last three years in a row. The list is ranked by staff working in Wisconsin in the employee benefits division and ties are broken by the total staff members in the state.
